Justin Hayworth, Wellness Program Manager for Ent Credit Union, Wins 2022 Mayor’s Young Leader Award
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – Justin Hayworth, Wellness Program Manager for Ent Credit Union, was announced the winner of the 2022 Mayor’s Young Leader Award in the sports, health & wellness category presented by Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers. Hayworth was recognized for his dedication and passion for his work, and the positive impact he’s had on Ent Credit Union’s health & wellness programs, its employees and overall company culture.
As the Wellness Program Manager at Ent Credit Union, Hayworth’s responsibilities not only include running all health and wellness programs, but also motivating team members to get involved, healthy and engaged in Ent’s culture. After coming on board in 2019, his impact on the Wellness Program was immediate; he drove participation up from 60% to 80%. Other significant results he achieved in his role, include:
- Facilitated the design and implementation of the 5000 square foot employee fitness center
- Authored and implemented a companywide Fitness Center Reimbursement policy
- Received positive ratings on company engagement surveys relating to overall Ent employee wellness experience
- Revised the company’s “Volunteer Time Off” policy to make the program more accessible to employees
- Assisted in establishing company policy to better facilitate employee engagement groups’ involvement within the Colorado community.
In addition, Hayworth actively participates on several Ent employee engagement groups, including serving as the Vice Chair of the Pride Group, Board Member on Minds Matter and as a participant in the Women Empowerment and Mosaic Engagement Groups. He also partners with community advocates including the Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association, Habitat for Humanity and Make-A-Wish Foundation to bring wellness and fundraising initiatives into the Credit Union.
The Mayor’s Young Leader Awards program celebrates the outstanding achievements of young professionals aged 40 and under who are making a positive impact in Colorado Springs through their professional and volunteer activities.
