Ent Credit Union seeks nominations for 2025 Community Advocate Award; Winner to receive up to $50,000
Honoring Colorado difference makers, nominations accepted Nov. 10–Dec. 15
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Ent Credit Union is now accepting nominations for its 2025 Ent Community Advocate Award, which honors Coloradans who go above and beyond to make a lasting impact in their communities. Launched in 2022, the award celebrates individuals whose selfless service and dedication help build stronger, more resilient communities across the state.
Since its inception, 10 Coloradans have been recognized for their extraordinary efforts with this award. In 2024, honorees included an Army veteran who founded a suicide prevention nonprofit while mentoring students with special needs; a former sportscaster who overcame serious illness to mentor men experiencing homelessness and champion organ donation; a foster parent who cared for 19 children and helped reunite families; and a community leader who transformed her neighborhood through sustainable gardening and grassroots collaboration.
“This award represents Ent Credit Union’s commitment to honoring the changemakers who exemplify the spirit of service and the transformative power of everyday heroes,” said Annie Snead, executive director of philanthropy & community relations at Ent Credit Union. “We’re proud to shine a light on those whose kindness and courage make Colorado a better place for everyone.”
The 2025 award includes up to $50,000, which will be granted to one winner or shared among multiple honorees. Ent encourages nominations that highlight meaningful contributions to charitable causes, community projects, events, and other efforts that uplift others. Nominations are open from Nov. 10 through Dec. 15, 2025. Winners will be announced by Jan. 31, 2026.

The Community Advocate Award was created in the wake of the tragic and deadly shooting at Club Q in November 2022. The two heroes who stopped the shooter and saved countless lives – Thomas James and Richard Fierro – were first given this award and recognized by Governor Jared Polis and former Mayor of Colorado Springs John Suthers.
