Ent Credit Union expands to the San Luis Valley with new Alamosa Service Center and community-focused leadership

Alamosa’s Sonia Perez accepts leadership position as construction nears completion

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Ent Credit Union is proud to announce its expansion into Colorado’s San Luis Valley with a new service center currently under construction in Alamosa, Colorado. Expected to open in November, the center will offer a full range of financial services and serve as a hub for community engagement and financial education.

Leading this exciting new chapter is Sonia Perez, Ent’s newly appointed Manager of Retail Development for the San Luis Valley. A longtime Alamosa resident and active community advocate, Perez brings deep local insight and a passion for empowering others.

“I’m honored to help bring Ent’s mission to life here in the San Luis Valley,” said Perez, an Adams State University alumnus who most recently served as Executive Director of Alamosa’s Small Business Development Center. “This community means everything to me, and I’m excited to help our neighbors build stronger financial futures through personalized service and meaningful support.”

Her dedication to the San Luis Valley hasn’t gone unnoticed by local leaders.

"I'm excited to celebrate the journey of Sonia Perez as she takes on her new role with Ent Credit Union in Alamosa,” said Alamosa Mayor Ty Coleman. “Having served as the Director of the Small Business Development Center, she has had a profound impact on individuals and entrepreneurs throughout the San Luis Valley. Her commitment to one-on-one advising, business planning, and tailored training programs showcases her strong ties to the SLV community. I am confident that she will continue to inspire and support local community members and businesses in her new position.”

Ent’s expansion into Alamosa is driven by a commitment to accessible, member-focused banking and a desire to better serve the members it already has in the region. The new service center will offer personal and business banking solutions, in-person support, and financial education tailored to the needs of the San Luis Valley.

“We already serve members in Alamosa, and this new service center allows us to show up for them in a more meaningful way,” said Chris Chippindale, Ent’s Chief Experience Officer. “Experience matters, especially in communities like the San Luis Valley, where relationships and trust are everything. We’re excited to offer a space where members can connect with us, access resources, and feel supported in their financial journey.”

In addition to serving members, Ent is deeply committed to the communities where it operates, a core value rooted in its identity as a credit union. This is reflected in its new partnership with Adams State, aimed at supporting the financial future of students. Together, Ent and Adams State will create opportunities for students to build financial confidence and long-term well-being through education and engagement.

Ent is also building relationships with several local nonprofits whose missions align with Ent’s values. Recent efforts include support for the San Luis Valley Health Foundation, the San Luis Valley Museum, the La Puente Home, and Colorado State University Extension’s 4-H youth development programs in Alamosa. These partnerships reflect the credit union’s cooperative spirit and its dedication to helping everyone thrive.
