Ent Credit Union Champions Pediatric Mental Health at Children’s Hospital Colorado

Ent to match all gifts made to its “2024 Catalyst for Children” campaign in May up to $200,000

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Ent Credit Union is launching a month-long campaign, called “2024 Catalyst for Children,” to raise much-needed funds in support of pediatric mental health care and services at Children’s Hospital Colorado, the only nonprofit pediatric health care system in a seven-state region.

May marks the observance of Mental Health Awareness Month and Ent is launching the fundraising campaign for Children’s Colorado to help create broad systemic change to provide a healthier state of care for kids. The need is great—in 2023 alone, Children’s Colorado served more than 294,000 kids and had more than 26,000 mental health patient encounters.

From May 1-31, 2024, Ent will match all donations made to Children’s Hospital Colorado through the “2024 Catalyst for Children” campaign, doubling the impact of every contribution up to $200,000. Since 2019, Ent has devoted nearly $2 million to Children’s Colorado, supporting critical mental health areas such as crisis intervention, research, staffing enhancements to meet the surging demand, and additional fundraising endeavors. Each donor during this period will be entered to win two tickets to a Red Rocks show on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

“Since joining Children’s Hospital Colorado in 2021, I’ve experienced more support for our efforts in pediatric mental health from our community than I could have ever imagined,” said Ron-Li Liaw, MD, Children’s Colorado Mental Health-in-Chief, and The Cannon Y. and Lyndia K. Harvey Chair in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. “The reach you have when you give to support kids’ mental health is immeasurable. Thank you to Ent for coming alongside us as we transform the future of pediatric mental health. The impact of your philanthropy is leaving a lasting imprint on kids treated in the state of Colorado and beyond. With partners like Ent by our side, helping support our community’s efforts, we are confident that we will make great progress in addressing the youth mental health crisis in the months and years ahead.”

Gifts from the community give families from rural states to major metropolitan areas—and everywhere in between—unprecedented access to expert pediatric care when major medical issues arise.

"Our kids are the ones shaping tomorrow, so it's crucial we prioritize their mental health," explained Annie Snead, Senior Manager of Community Advocacy, Ent Credit Union. "Ent is committed to supporting Children’s Colorado to create broad systemic change to provide a healthier state of care for kiddos. It's not just about giving financially; it's about setting up our communities for success down the road. When we tackle mental health issues early on, we're paving the way for a brighter, healthier future."
