Ent Credit Union partners with four Colorado high schools to launch branded debit cards with give-back component for students

Colorado Springs, Colo. — Ent Credit Union, the largest in Colorado, has announced a new partnership with four high schools along the Front Range to introduce branded debit cards for students. This initiative, effective with the start of the 2024 school year, allows cardholders to show their school pride and raise money for their chosen school and aligns with Ent's commitment to promoting financial education and literacy among young adults.

“We are excited to partner with these high schools to provide students with a practical tool for learning financial responsibility,” said Annie Snead, Director of Community Advocacy, Ent Credit Union. “This initiative is more than just a debit card; it’s a step toward empowering the next generation with the knowledge and skills they need to manage their finances effectively. It’s also a way to support our local schools with much needed funds.”

In this community-focused initiative to support school programs, Ent Credit Union will donate 5-cents for every debit charge made with the cards. Each high school can designate a program that will benefit from the donations, such as arts, athletics, technology or other vital programs. The branded debit cards will include school logos and be available to students, parents, teachers and any community member wishing to support one of the four schools. Debit cards require an Ent checking account and are available at any of Ent’s nearly 60 service centers along Colorado’s Front Range.

The four high schools participating in the program are:

  • Harrison High School (D2), Colorado Springs, Colo.
  • Sierra High School (D2), Colorado Springs, Colo.
  • Pueblo Central High School (D60), Pueblo, Colo.
  • Windsor High School (Weld RE-4), Windsor, Colo.

By integrating financial education with practical application, Ent Credit Union and the four partnering high schools aim to create a holistic approach to financial literacy. Students will not only learn the fundamentals of managing money but will also see firsthand the impact of their financial decisions on their communities.
