Mile High United Way honors Wings Credit Union with Spirit of Hope Award

Recognition coincides with release of Wings’ 2025 Community Impact Report, highlighting more than $3 million invested across Colorado communities

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Wings Credit Union, previously Ent, has been named a 2026 Community Champion and recipient of Mile High United Way's Spirit of Hope Award, recognizing a new or refreshed partnership that demonstrates a meaningful commitment to strengthening communities through partnership. The recognition comes as Wings releases its 2025 Community Impact Report, which highlights more than $3 million invested in Colorado communities and the partnerships, volunteer efforts, and financial empowerment initiatives that helped drive that impact.

The report captures a year marked by significant community investment, expanded partnerships, and support for Coloradans who are facing challenges related to housing, food security, education, and financial well-being.

"Our community impact has always been rooted in relationships, trust, and showing up when and where our communities need us most," said Annie Snead, executive director of the Wings Credit Union Foundation and vice president of community impact at Wings Credit Union. "This report reflects the legacy our credit union has built in Colorado and the values that continue to guide our work today as Wings. Whether through financial coaching, volunteerism, youth programs, or nonprofit partnerships, we are focused on helping people move forward and strengthening the communities we serve. Recognition like the Spirit of Hope Award reinforces the importance of long-term partnerships and investing in the communities we call home."

Among the report's highlights:

• More than $3 million invested in Colorado communities
• Support provided to 290 nonprofit organizations statewide
• More than 4,500 volunteer hours contributed by employees
• More than 13,000 youth and adults reached through financial education programs
• Nearly $1.3 million in member debt paid down through debt management partnerships
• $300,000 awarded through YES Grants supporting youth-focused organizations

The report also highlights several signature partnerships that shaped the credit union's community impact work in 2025, including collaborations with Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado, Food Bank of the Rockies, United Way and the ALICE initiative, We Fortify, Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation, and organizations serving rural communities across Alamosa and the San Luis Valley.

Another major focus of the report is financial empowerment. During 2025, the credit union delivered 1,900 financial coaching sessions, reached more than 13,000 participants through education programs, and expanded its Adventures in Reality financial education partnership with the Denver Broncos. Together, these efforts helped individuals build knowledge, confidence, and long-term financial stability.
