Denver Broncos Foundation and Wings Credit Union launch new scholarship program for Colorado students
Denver Broncos Scholars powered by Wings Credit Union supports pursuit of postsecondary education and career training
DENVER and COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Denver Broncos Foundation and Wings Credit Union today announced a new scholarship program, the Denver Broncos Scholars powered by Wings Credit Union, that will help Colorado young adults pursue education and career training beyond high school.
"Every young person deserves to have access to the career pathways they’re passionate about," said Allie Engelken, Denver Broncos Vice President of Community Impact and Denver Broncos Foundation Executive Director. "Through this partnership with Wings Credit Union, we’re excited to invest in Colorado students who are demonstrating leadership, determination, and a commitment to their futures, while helping remove financial barriers that can stand in their way."
The program will award up to $75,000 annually in scholarships to Colorado students ages 16-24 who are pursuing post-secondary education opportunities, including two- and four-year degree programs, technical schools, trade programs, professional certifications, and other career-focused training. Applications are now open and will close Oct. 8, 2026. Eligible students can apply for scholarships up to $5,000 to help cover tuition, fees, books, required supplies, and other qualified educational expenses. The program is expected to award scholarships to approximately 15-30 students each year, and the organizations have committed to supporting the program through at least 2028.
Recipients will be selected through a competitive application process administered by Scholarship America, a national nonprofit that helps students access educational opportunities and financial support. Applicants will be evaluated on factors like academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, work experience, educational goals, and other program criteria.
"Every student deserves the chance to pursue their goals without financial barriers standing in the way," said Annie Snead, Wings Credit Union’s Vice President of Community Impact and Wings Credit Union Foundation Executive Director. "Wings is proud to partner with the Denver Broncos Foundation to support students who are investing in their futures, whether that means earning a college degree, learning a trade, or pursuing a professional certification."
In addition to receiving scholarship funding, selected students may be invited to participate in special recognition opportunities and experiences throughout the year. Additional information, eligibility requirements, and application details are at ScholarshipAmerica.org/Scholarship/BroncosScholars.
The new scholarship program builds on existing partnership activations, spanning youth development, financial education, and community impact initiatives across Colorado. Recent collaborations are Adventures in Reality, financial education programming for high schoolers; and ALL IN. ALL COVERED., a statewide initiative that is expanding access to safer youth football through helmet support for Colorado high school athletes. Together, these efforts reflect a shared commitment to helping young people explore opportunities, develop skills, and pursue their goals.
