Giving back to the people of Colorado

For 65+ years, Ent has supported the philanthropic efforts of the many nonprofits in the Colorado communities we serve

Philanthropy in Colorado: Ent gives back

Our commitment to service goes beyond our owner-members. We regularly support nonprofits in the communities we serve, as well as those with statewide reach. How we support the communities we serve is consistent with our culture and values while also reflecting our membership and strategic plan. Generally, Ent will provide support to organizations, agencies and activities that demonstrate state-wide impact in the areas of:

• Youth: Primary program impact focuses on children under the age of 18 with emphasis on impact in housing, food, behavioral and/or mental health.

• Education: Primary program impact supports classroom learning at all levels, with an emphasis on organizations that design and manage these educational initiatives. For higher education, the focus is primarily on providing scholarships to students attending Colorado-based universities and community colleges.

• Community: Primary program impact addresses major community issues with a focus on community enrichment, food banks, homelessness and/or poverty.

• Legacy: Primary program impact does not fit into any categories above but may continue to receive support based on Ent’s Colorado Springs heritage.

If your organization serves these needs, please review our contribution guidelines.

Ent Credit Union Donates $2.5 Million to Support ENT Care at Children’s Hospital Colorado

More than a financial institution, Ent Credit Union has committed $2.5 million to the ENT department at Children’s Colorado. As two leaders in Colorado, our partnership spans more than 37 years. Elevating our partnership to this level includes establishing an endowed chair at Children’s Colorado, and Dr. Soham Roy was named inaugural chairholder.

What does this mean?

Under his leadership, Dr. Roy will enhance recruitment to serve more patients at their seven locations, support innovation and research, and raise Children’s Colorado’s reputation in Colorado across the world. Already the second largest pediatric ENT program in the U.S., patients experience a 6 month wait list. We know this is impacting many of our 550,000 members across the state.

History

Since 2019, we’ve gifted over $2 million to Children’s Colorado to support mental health awareness. At a time when we were experiencing some of the highest need for support across the country, we knew that’s where our focus should be. Now as we listened to Children’s Colorado on their next greatest need, we learned that ENT operations represented more than half of all surgeries in 2024.

We say YES for kids

We see young people as crucial to the present and future success of their communities. And that’s why, after more than 25 years, we’re still approving Ent Youth Endowment Series (YES) grants to not-for-profit agencies that benefit youth. Early in the year, we invite applications from nonprofits that serve young Coloradans in our communities along the Front Range as well as those helping youth statewide.
