Ent Credit Union is pleased to announce that their Schriever Air Force Base Service Center has been named the 2016 Air Force Credit Union of the Year, in the “greater than $1 billion in assets” category.
Each year, the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force recognizes an on-base financial institution in two asset categories – greater and less than $1 billion in assets – that provided exceptional service to the military community during the prior calendar year. Ent’s Schriever Service Center was nominated for this award by Colonel DeAnna M. Burt, 50th Space Wing Commander.
In Ent’s recognition letter from Marilyn M. Thomas, acting assistant secretary of the Air Force, she noted:
“Having experienced sequestration, your management directed Lending and Technology personnel to create a flexible solution for various emergency situations. When the base recently experienced budget cuts and personnel reductions, Ent provided information tables at every event from base picnics to sports days to the Transition Assistance Program, ensuring opportunities to answer questions and provide assistance regardless of the venue….For these reasons and others, we thank you for the service and support you are providing all Airmen in the Schriever Air Force Base community. Again, congratulations on the award…it is very well deserved!”
