Step 1: Enter Your Information

To open a consumer Savings and/or Checking Account online you’ll need to have the following information available: 

  • Driver’s License, State or Military ID
  • Social Security number
  • Physical Address, Phone and Email contact information

Note: You must be 18 years of age or older, be a U.S. citizen, and qualify for membership.

Step 2: Add Joint Owners

Open your account with up to three additional owners.  You’ll need to have the following information available - for each individual: 

  • Legal Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of Birth
  • Physical Address, Phone and Email contact information

Note: Each joint owner must be 18 years of age or older, be a U.S. citizen, and qualify for membership. And, each joint owner will be asked to verify their identity by answering questions based on their credit report.

 

Step 3: Set Up Account

As a new credit union member, you’ll be required to open a Savings Account and keep a $5 Share Pledge (which equates to one credit union ownership share) in that account.

You’ll also personalize your account by selecting your desired product and service options including:

  • The  type of Checking Account you’d like
  • Whether to add Courtesy Pay to your Debit Card
  • And, creating your unique Online Banking Username and Password
Step 4: View Account

Review your new Ent Account and make sure you print or make a note of:

  • Your new account number(s)
  • Your new Online Banking Username

Then, just Log On to Online Banking to make an opening deposit and start using your account!

1. Am I eligible to open an Ent account?
To open an Ent account online, you must be a U.S. citizen and qualify for membership in one of the following ways:
  • Live, work, worship or attend school in El Paso, Teller, Pueblo or Denver county, Colorado
  • Live in a household with an Ent member
  • Someone in your immediate family is an Ent member
  • You are an active, retired or civilian worker with access to Buckley, Peterson or Schriever Air Force Base
  • You are an active or retired member of the Colorado National Guard or Colorado Army National Guard
  • Live, work, worship or attend school in Firestone, Frederick, Dacono, Ft. Lupton, Mead or Erie in Weld county, Colorado
  • Live, work, worship or attend school in one of the following Denver, Colorado area ZIP codes 80010, 80011, 80112, 80018 or 80019

2. What types of Ent accounts can I open online?
You can open an individual Savings and/or Checking account online. If you would like an Ent Visa® Debit Card, you’ll be able to choose between receiving it in the mail or coming into a service center to have your card issued instantly. Business and Corporate accounts cannot be opened online at this time.

3. What do I do if I already have an Ent account and want to add a Checking account?
If you already have a Checking account, you can open additional Checking accounts through Online Banking.

If you do not already have Checking and would like to add a new Checking account to your existing Ent account, please visit one of our service centers or contact us at (719) 574-1100 or 800-525-9623.

4. Why do you need my Social Security number?

Federal regulations and the Internal Revenue Service require us to collect your Social Security number during account opening. Your Social Security number is confidential and will be used for verification and tax reporting.

5. What types of information will I be asked about from my credit report?

To open an account online, Ent must validate your identity as required by federal regulations. The questions displayed are based on information from your personal credit profile or other information from credit reporting agencies such as Experian®.

Note:  If you have limited credit history, you may be asked to open your account in a service center.

6. How can I make the initial deposit for my new account?

You can conveniently fund your account online by using a credit or debit card, by transferring funds from another financial institution, by visiting one of our service centers, or by mailing a check. A minimum $5 deposit is required. Your minimum $5 deposit is your Share Pledge and will be maintained in your Savings Account.

7. What is a Share Pledge?

Your $5 Share Pledge gives you one ownership share in the credit union and is not available for withdrawal.

8. What do I need in order to switch my direct deposit and any bill payments I have scheduled?

If you would like to switch your direct deposit and automatic payments or close your old checking account, please visit Ent.com/SwitchKit, fill out the correct forms and send to the appropriate recipients.

To start using Ent’s Bill Pay, just Log On through Online Banking. You’ll need the Name, Account Number and Address of the company or person you are trying to pay. You can conveniently add a company or person to pay within the Payment Center.

9. What internet browsers are required to open my account online?
