Ent Credit Union Announces Board Officers
Ent Credit Union is pleased to announce the election of Ron Martinez as chairman, Pam Nicholson as vice chair, Dr. William Ayen as board treasurer and Chris Vadala re-elected as board secretary on their Board of Directors.

All four members bring a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience, in and outside of our industry, to our Board of Directors,” said Ent Credit Union’s CEO, Chad Graves. “Their guidance and expertise will be instrumental as Ent continues to grow along the Front Range.”
Ron Martinez, CFA, was appointed as Chairman of Ent’s Board of Directors in March 2019. He has served on Ent Credit Union’s Board since 2008 where he started as Board Treasurer from 2009 to 2012 and again from 2015 to 2019. He began his career as a credit analyst for the Colorado National Bank of Denver then moved to US WEST where he eventually became Director of International Finance.
In 1993, Martinez joined the global investment management firm of Brinson Partners, Inc. located in Chicago. As a Partner, he was responsible for many of the firm’s largest client portfolios. In 2001 he was appointed the founding Executive Director/President of the Brinson Foundation. Martinez is now a private investor managing personal and family portfolios. He volunteers for the Food Bank of the Rockies, Food Bank of Southern Colorado, Colorado Mountain Club and the Alpine Mountain Chapter of the Porsche Club of America.
Martinez earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver and his Master’s in Business Administration from Columbia University in New York City.
Pam Nicholson was elected as Vice Chair to Ent’s Board of Directors in March 2019. She served on Ent’s Supervisory Committee from April 2015 to August 2017, when she was appointed to the Board of Directors.
Nicholson is currently serving as a Senior Advisor for BDC Advisors, and previously served as Chief Strategy and Health Value Officer at Centura Health in Englewood, CO. Nicholson held other positions with Centura Health since 1988, including Senior Vice President External Affairs and Vice President Advocacy and Payer Relations.
She has served on numerous boards including Penrose-St. Francis Health System, St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center, Health Access Pueblo, Colorado Accountable Care, Colorado Health Neighborhoods, Colorado Community Health Alliance and was also a member of the National UnitedHealthcare Advisory Board.
Nicholson received a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and a Bachelor of Art in Finance and Organizational Development from Idaho State University.
Dr. William (Bill) Ayen
Dr. Ayen was elected as Ent’s Board Treasurer in March 2019. He served on Ent’s Supervisory Committee from August 2009 to October 2013, when he was appointed Vice Chairman to the Board of Directors.
Dr. Ayen, a retired US Air Force officer, retired from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs after 19 years where he was Senior Instructor of Information Systems, College of Business and Administration. He also served as Director of the Center for Homeland Security and Special Assistant for External Programs to the Dean of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Previously, he was chancellor at Colorado Technical University and associate dean for resources at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains, has been a leader at his church and has served on other community boards.
Dr. Ayen holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri at Rolla and a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from The Ohio State University.
Chris Vadala was re-elected as Board Secretary for Ent’s Board of Directors in March 2019. He served on the Supervisory Committee from March 2013 to August 2017 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in August 2017, he was first elected as Board Secretary in September 2017.
Vadala has 30 years’ experience in Olympic sports administration, including 20 years in senior and executive management. He’s currently the Chief Operating Officer for USA Volleyball and has held many management positions within the United States Olympic Committee.
Vadala holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Finance from Ohio University and Olympic Sports Leadership Certification from Kellogg School of Management.
