Spot "Phishing" Scams
Phishing - "fishing" for confidential information - is a popular type of email scam.
A phishing scammer attempts to send you a "plausible" email from a reputable company, requesting your personal information.
Ent and its affiliates, vendors and regulators – like the NCUA – will never ask you to verify your account number, Social Security Number, debit or credit card number, PIN or any other sensitive financial information via email or text message.
In general, we encourage members to be skeptical of all email requests for personal information, and encourage you to forward questionable emails (as an email attachment as described below) to security@ent.com for validation or investigation.
- Be suspicious of emails that ask for personal information. Do not respond to email messages asking you to reply with sensitive information.
- Fraudulent emails often contain spelling and/or grammatical error; others may contain actual content from the company being represented.
- Be careful when clicking on links in emails. They may take you to a website that "looks like" a site you trust – but isn't. If you are at all suspicious of a link in an email, use a web address for that organization that you know to be correct, and type it directly into the address bar of your browser (without copying it from the email message itself).

Use Email Wisely
Because email messages travel on the public Internet, email is not secure enough to be used for communicating personal information – even to an individual or organization that you trust.
If you want to communicate electronically with Ent about your account, please use the secure "Contact Us" messaging system available within Online Banking.
