Serving our Community

At Ent, we know it is important to support the organizations that benefit our community. In addition to our corporate support of agencies like the Pikes Peak United Way and the American Cancer Society, we have also created the Youth Endowment Series (YES) grant program. For the past 10 years, Ent has awarded grants to non-profit organizations specifically benefiting youth in our communities.

Contribution Guidelines

We invite all non-profit agencies that benefit youth in the Pikes Peak, Firestone or Pueblo County Communities to apply for an Ent YES grant. Recipient agencies are selected by a volunteer panel of Ent employees. Grant applications are evaluated on criteria such as:

  • General benefit to the community
  • Potential ability to use the grant to obtain additional funds
  • And, degree of current community support.
If you would like to apply, click the link below that corresponds to your organization's service area: Applications are accepted year-round, and grants are awarded in March of each year. Ent continually reevaluates our YES program and looks for opportunities to expand their reach. This year, we've added the Firestone Community to our grant circle. If you do not see your area covered here, contact us with your suggestions.

Contribution Guidelines
  1. GENERAL

    Consistent with the provisions of the National Credit Union Administration 1999 ruling on Charitable Contributions (12 CFR Part 701), Ent Federal Credit Union may make contributions, donate funds, or otherwise sponsor:

    1. Non-profit organizations located in or conducting business in the areas it serves as described in its Charter;
    2. Organizations that are tax-exempt (under Section 501(c)(3)) of the Internal Revenue Code) and operate primarily to promote or develop credit unions;
    3. Organizations qualified under A or B who submit a written request for financial support by the credit union.

    Ent Federal Credit Union will make contributions, donate funds, or sponsor activities that are understood to benefit the community and reflect the varied interests of the credit union members. Ent Federal Credit Union reserves the right to deny for any reason (or no reason at all) any and all such requests by any and all parties, regardless of whether or not they meet these guidelines.

  2. CONTRIBUTIONS GUIDELINES

    Reflecting the composition of Ent Federal Credit Union membership, the credit union will, in general, make contributions to organizations, agencies, and activities serving the following purposes

    • Education
    • Health
    • Human Services
    • Community (including Cultural) Development
    • Economic Development
    • Military Recognition and Morale.

    Other organizations, agencies, or activities may also receive financial support, but their selection as a recipient of Ent Federal Credit Union support will be made case-by-case, based upon the agency application details.

    Within this policy, Ent Federal Credit Union will give emphasis to the annual United Way campaign supporting a number of community agencies and organizations serving the above purposes. As a result, subsequent requests for support by United Way Agencies will normally be denied in favor of support to other agencies and organizations. An exception to this standard policy may be made in the case of capital campaigns that are understood to be over and above the annual operating budget requirements.

    Ent Federal Credit Union will not make contributions to:

    • Individual persons
    • Specific schools or sport teams
    • Political candidates, or
    • Individual churches or organizations whose primary mission is advancement of a specific religion or denomination.

    Except for the continuing commitment to the United Way of the Pikes Peak Region, and select multi-year capital project contributions, Ent Federal Credit Union will not establish a history of contribution to any single agency, organization, or activity to exceed three successive years.

    SPONSORSHIPS: Any major participation where the Ent Federal Credit Union contribution

    1. Is likely to generate a substantially greater financial benefit to the recipient agency than would a direct contribution;
    2. Reflects favorably on the credit union as a corporate citizen; and,
    3. Provides opportunities for significant public acknowledgement of the credit union participation.

    Ent Federal Credit Union may set aside up to 50 percent of the annual contributions budget for agency, organization, or activity sponsorship, as distinct from capital contributions or contributions to organizational operating funds, among other designations.
